Alectiq uses a minimal number of cookies — only what is strictly necessary to keep you securely logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics.

Both cookies are session authentication cookies. They store a secure, cryptographically random session token — not your personal data — that allows the server to recognize you as a logged-in user. Without these cookies, you would need to log in on every page load.
Both cookies use the __Host- prefix, which prevents them from being sent to any domain other than the one that set them. They are HttpOnly (inaccessible to JavaScript), Secure (only sent over HTTPS), and use SameSite=Strict to prevent cross-site transmission.
You can clear cookies from your browser at any time. Clearing the session cookie will log you out. Because we only use essential session cookies, there is no opt-out mechanism for cookies that would allow you to remain logged in without them.
