We want you to feel confident subscribing to Alectiq. This policy describes exactly what you can expect regarding refunds and billing.

Standard Subscription Billing

• Your subscription renews automatically (monthly or annually, as selected).
• Billing charges are processed on the same date each period by Stripe.
• You will receive an email receipt from Stripe for every charge.

Cancellation and Partial Periods

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing us.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then.
• We do not issue prorated refunds for the unused portion of a monthly or annual billing period, except as required by applicable law.
• Annual subscriptions cancelled after 7 days from the annual renewal date are not eligible for a refund of the remaining annual period.

Plan Changes

• Upgrades: When you upgrade, the difference is charged immediately on a prorated basis for the remainder of the billing period.
• Downgrades: When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of the next billing period. No refund is issued for the current period.

Exceptions

Refunds outside the above policy may be granted at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances (e.g., significant service outages, billing errors). Contact us and we will review your situation promptly.

Governing Law

This Refund Policy is subject to applicable consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction, including the Consumer Protection Act (Ontario) and applicable federal legislation in Canada.
